About Me

Hi, my name is Patryk Podworny, I'm 20 years old and I am a Unity Developer and have studied Game Development at the Mediacollege in Amsterdam.

I was born in a city in Poland called Chorzów and have lived there for the first 7 years of my life. After those 7 years I moved to The Netherlands because my dad had his own company here and he knew that it was a better place for me and my siblings to grow up in.

I like helping people, collaborating with others and trying new things.

My hobbies include gaming, drawing and making music, including: playing guitar and music production, I've published 2 songs so far and I'm still pretty proud of them to this day.

I've worked on a few projects so far, which include: Expanding Space, a 2d top-down space themed game called Space Rush, Vertical Slice 1, where we recreated part of Cuphead in Unity with a group of artists and developers, Vertical Slice 2, where me and a team of 3 developers recreated a part of GTA 2 in Unity, the Input/Output project, where we made a VR escape room which is connected to an Arduino that shows the progress of the player with led lights. And the latest one: Tidy Team(Final Exam), where we made an asymmteric co-op game where communication is key.

During my third year at the Mediacollege, I got to be part of the HLO Hybrid Learning team, where we were located at the H20 Esports Campus in Purmerend. The goal of the whole team was be the pilot team of project Starfall, the game that is being made by students and teachers and will eventually be released as a full game.

I've had two internships during my study. The first was at Edumersive in Rotterdam, where my job was to add voice chat, multiplayer hand tracking, and to make their main in-game lobby more user-friendly.

My second internship was at CaptainVR in Purmerend, where my job was to fix/optimize all CaptainVR apps and make them more user-friendly, Make 3D Models for the AltspaceVR metaverse, where we were making an experience for one of CaptainVR's clients, help other developers, and represent CaptainVR at the VRDays in Rotterdam.

I am very inspired by every video game and every developer, but I mainly look up to VR Games and developers. What I want to accomplish is to learn how to work with VR and eventually make my own VR game in the future.
